The United States ordered to immediately leave the non -economic staff from the capital South SudanReferring to an increase in crime, abduction and armed conflict, the State Department said on Sunday.
Training level for travel for South Sudan remains in Level 4, So, Americans should not go to the African country.
“Violent crimes, such as edges, shootings, ambushes, attacks, robberies and abductions, are common throughout South Sudan, including Juba,” the recommendations said. “Foreign citizens have fallen victim to rape, sexual attacks, armed robberies and other violent crimes.”
It also states that the US government has “a limited ability to provide emergency consular services to US citizens in South Sudan.”
Violence in South Sudan has grown, threatening a gentle peace deal between the country's two major leaders.
President Salva Kieir and Vice President Riek Machar signed a peace treaty in 2018 to end the five-year civil war in which more than 400,000 people were killed. Machar is acting the first vice -president of the country in the national unity government, although his political group opposes Kira.
Political rivalry between two men is widely regarded as the main obstacle for peace in South Sudan, and Kieir is suspicious of his deputy and Murne calls Kira dictator.
The State Department issues tricks for all countries. Level 4 is the highest, issued by the State Department, and it is issued only when there is a greater risk of life. At this level, the US government advises Americans to write a will and leave DNA samples with its medical provider in case of identification.
For South Sudan, the Department called on Americans who decided to go to the African nation to “carry out emergency assistance” in all parts of the country, including in the Juba capital.
More than a dozen countries, including Ukraine, Russia, Syria, Iraq, Venezuela and Haiti, have been appointed by the State Department of Level 4.
