Many singled out Carmona when he stepped on CJ Baskerville's ankle, and the idea that it was intentional was raised there. Some even said they wanted him “banned forever” from the game.

Carmona's actions led to immediate pain for Baskerville. Meanwhile, Carmona tried to play it off as if he was helping his co-worker off the field.

Baskerville accused Carmona of playing “dirty”.

“There's no denying that Arkansas he played a great game last night, I'm not taking that away from them. But #55 Fernando Carmona clearly stepped on my ankle and deliberately pressed it to the dirt,” Baskerville wrote in X on Saturday.
