Two Australian nurses stand after a video appeared, which shows them the threatening to kill Israeli patients and boast that they refuse to treat them.
The man and the woman – both employees at a hospital in Sydney – are now investigating police, officials in New South Wales (NSW) said.
The State Minister of Health Ryan Park said that a “thorough investigation” would be conducted to ensure that there was no “adverse (patient) results”, but that “quick” hospital records did not achieve anything unusual.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has condemned the video as “painful and shameful” after starting to circulate online.
It comes less than a week after Australia has passed stricter laws against hate crimes after a wave of high-profile anti-Semitic attacks.
On Wednesday, NSW police said they believed they “identified the persons involved” in the video.
The Health Minister said they both stood immediately and promised that they would never work again in the NSW healthcare system.
The video was shared by Tiktok by content creator Max Wefer, who says he is from Israel.
His profile includes conversations with people who meet in the Chatruletka app – an anonymous online platform that pairs people randomly for video chat.
The shots viewed by the BBC seem to be enrolled in hospital.
A man who claims to be a doctor tells G -N -Wefer that he “has beautiful eyes”, but adds “I'm sorry to be Israeli” before saying that he sends Israelis to Jahanam, an Islamic place close to hell.
He continues to gesture to the throat before a woman comes and says that “Mr. Weife's time will come” and that he will die, he later adds that she will not refer to the Israelis.
“I will not treat them, I will kill them,” she says.
The video is edited, emoji have been added and some comments are discarded – but the authorities do not question its authenticity.
Albanese described it as “disgusting” and “mourning”, writing at X: “These anti -Semitic hate -driven comments have no place in our healthcare system and there is no place anywhere in Australia.
“The people who have been found to have committed criminal anti -Semitic acts will face the full force of our laws.”
The park also apologized to the Jewish community and said he wanted to reassure them that they could still expect health care in the first class at NSW.
“In our hospital and health system there is no place for this type of point of view that is ever held. There is no room for this type of perspective in our society.”
He added that the hospital staff in the Bankstown suburbs were embarrassed and ashamed, but said it did not reduce the good work they did.
In recent months, in incidents unrelated to hospital video, there was a series of attacks on arson and graffiti involving homes, cars and synagogues in Jewish areas throughout Australia, causing fear in the community.
Caravan, full of power gel explosives, which police warned that he had the potential to cause a “massive victim event” was found at NSW in January, along with an anti -Semitic sentiment and a list of Jewish goals in Sydney.
The Executive Director of the Australian Jewry Executive Board Alex Rivchin said the video served as “a warning sign once again to all Australians about the evil that exists among us”.
