The week-long speedrunning marathon Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 wrapped up early Sunday morning, raising a total of $2,556,305 for the Cancer Prevention Foundation, according to organizers.
As you'd expect, the event brought a good mix of skill and silliness: there was Crazy Taxi speedrun with live music; FunkopotamusWes played the piano during his performance. New Super Mario Bros. Wiiusing your head and feet to control the game using motion controls; and Dr. Doot did Elden Ring bosses speedrun on electric saxophone. Yes, the saxophone didn't do much. pah-pah sounds all the time.
The marathon ran continuously from January 5th to 12th, so in addition to these, there are still many great moments to catch up on if you missed it. Everything can be found at .
AGDQ is one of several charity events held by Games Done Quick each year. coming up in February. Celebrating Black hosts and speedrunners, the event (Feb. 6-9) will raise money for the racial justice nonprofit Race Forward. Over the years, Games Done Quick has raised over $54 million for various charities, including the Prevent Cancer Foundation and Doctors Without Borders.
