At least 34 people were killed and 117 were injured in a Russian attack on the city of sums, according to Ukrainian authorities.
Two ballistic missiles hit the city, the second caused the most casualties when it burst over the street, staff said.
Ukrainian authorities told the BBC that 20 buildings were damaged, including cafes, shops and five residential buildings.
