Living in a UK immigration court, an asylum seeker fights depression by running while waiting for a decision.
Salah, a Somali asylum seeker in his mid-twenties, lives on the Bibby Stockholm boat in Portland, United Kingdom, along with 411 other men. As he waits for a Home Office interview, his small, shared room becomes a battlefield of frustration.
To cope, Salah takes up running and joins a local club, which gives him some relief from isolation. He also volunteers at a youth center, where he feels the UK is not what he expected. When interview time comes, Salah's future is up in the air, as is Bibby Stockholm's.
The Last Days of Bibby Stockholm is a film written by Sue Sudbury and Dave Young.
