'Bidi Kumari marries Cancer Kumar': Bizarre wedding invitation sparks internet frenzy

A wedding invitation has caused quite a stir on social media, but not for the usual reasons. Featuring unconventional and comically alarming language, the card has both amused and worried people. Many who met the invitation joked that they were afraid to attend what they called a “horrible wedding.”

Shared on Instagram by user @vimal_official_0001, the card takes a satirical approach to the traditional format of wedding announcements. It looks like a funny attempt designed to go viral, but the authenticity of the invite is yet to be confirmed, reports News18.

The invitation begins with a bold and attention-grabbing headline, “Khatarnak Matrimony-Masoom Barati”, immediately setting an unconventional and humorous tone. Below is a list of nonsense phrases like “amangal gutka khadyam,” “dukhamankam,” “amangalam. ,” “Sarvavyasanam,” and others, apparently designed to parody the solemn language of traditional wedding cards.

Adding to the hilarity, the bride is introduced as “Unfortunate-Bidi Kumari aka Cigarette Devi”, ironically the “unfortunate daughter” of Tambaku Lal Ji and Salfi Devi. Her fictitious address is listed as “420 Yamlok House, Dukh. Nagar,” completing the satirical flavor of the card.

The groom's introduction is called “Pilika Kumar aka Lailaj Babu” which is hilariously labeled as the “unfortunate son” of Gutka Lal Ji and Bhagan Devi. .”

Adding to the satirical nature of the card, the wedding venue was hilariously listed as a “cremation ground” and the time was described as “uncertain”. “Parinaya Sutra Atmahatya Bandhan,” the invitation takes a darkly comic turn with a tongue-in-cheek reference to the dangers of addiction and unhealthy lifestyles.

One of the most striking aspects of the invitation is the reference to a village in Bihar called Majhaul, which reinforces the satirical tone of the card while adding a touch of realism. The creators aimed to use humor as a vehicle to highlight the dangers of substances like tobacco and gutka.

The post has garnered considerable attention and has garnered 29 lakh views on Instagram. Reactions have been mixed, with some users appreciating the creativity behind the message. One joked that the composer deserved a “thousand gun salute,” while another said, “You should win the Nobel Prize!”
