The bodies of eight Palestine Red Crescent (PRC), who were under fire in Gaza just over a week ago, were recovered, although the ninth employee is still countless, said the Red Cross.

The Israeli army said on Monday that the investigation showed that on March 23, soldiers opened fire to a group of vehicles that included ambulances and firefighting, when the vehicles approached the position without prior coordination and without headlights or emergency signals.

“IDF condemns the repetitive use of civil infrastructure by terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, including the use of medical facilities and ambulances for terrorist purposes,” he said in a statement.

The incident was the most deadly attack on employees of the Red Crescent Red Cross in anywhere since 2017, said IFRC.

According to the United Nations, at least 1060 healthcare workers were killed within 18 months of the time when Israel began the offensive in Gaza after Hamas fighters stormed Southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
