What will appear on Black Ops 6 in season 2?
While Black Ops 6 Season 1 had a multiplayer-focused content drop, followed by a mid-season zombie-focused content drop, the launch of Season 2 is set to release maps for both multiplayer modes.
Multiplayer
One of the new multiplayer maps might be a Black Ops 2 fan favorite.
The new season will start with three new multiplayer maps: Bounties, Dealerships and Lifeline. Each map has something to do with Hobos, reflecting the theme of the season.
Two more cards, Bullet and grindwill be added in the mid-season update. Grind is a returning map from the Black Ops 2 DLC packs, continuing the trend of Black Ops series maps returning in Black Ops 6 — it will reportedly feature “Extra Surprise” related to this map sometime around the mid-season patch, but no details yet on what that might be.
A new mode near Team Deathmatch, Overdrivethere are players fighting to reach the star cap before the enemy team. Regular eliminations award one star, but headshots and melee kills award two stars. Special player eliminations and kills earn three stars.
Players who chain kills together quickly enough will earn buffs, including wall hacking, health regeneration, increased movement and reload speeds, improved hipfire accuracy, and improved sprint-to-fire and swing speeds.
Season 1 reintroduced the fans' Prop Hunt party game playlist, and now Season 2 will reintroduce Gun game. This game mode has players working their way through the game's arsenal, with each kill ranking them up to a new weapon. Killing with a knife demotes the player to the previous gun.
As Valentine's Day approaches, A third wheel shootout will allow players to take on competitive mode in teams of three, while the Couples dance outside mode is a Gunfight mode designed exclusively for duos.
Two new Enforcer perks are added in multiplayer. The Slipstream perk increases base sprint speed at the cost of subtracting tactical sprint, and the Hunter's Instinct perk marks the closest enemy to you after elimination. The new Flyswatter skin allows players to replace their dedicated melee weapon with a launcher.
The new and improved War Machine has been modernized to compete in the breakneck speed of Black Ops 6 gameplay.
The Grenade War Machine returns as a result for 1,300 points. The latest iteration of the score series comes with 30 shells and shots in three round bursts.
As the season develops, The terminator and Shadow hunting Events will become available to players, unlocking new weapons and accessories as players kill enemies in multiplayer, zombies, and Warzone game modes.
These weapons include the PPSh-41 SMG, the Cypher 091 assault rifle, the Feng 82 LMG, and the TR2 sniper rifle. The AEK-973 gets a full-auto conversion mod, the Tanto .22 SMG gets a binary trigger attachment, and three LMGs get a belt magazine modification.
Additionally, every assault rifle, as well as the SWAT 5.56 and AEK-973 sniper rifles, gain access to the explosive-tipped crossbow attachment below the barrel, allowing players to go a little medieval on their opponents this season.
Quality of Life Updates introduced on day 115 it will come to multiplayer on the day of the launch of season 2.
Zombies
One of Origins' wonder weapons returns in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
The new zombie map, The tombwill be released with the start of season 2. It has been officially confirmed that the ice staff of Origins is returning. Along with an all-new Easter egg that will push Dark Aether's story forward, the new map will seemingly include the Aomination, Amalgam, and Doppelghast zombie variants featured in previous maps.
A new Zombie Mimic variant, the Shock Mimic, will debut on The Tomb. This zombie disguises itself as useful items, luring players in before attacking them with a static discharge that deals damage, blurs vision, and disrupts the minimap.
The shock mime is a deadlier variant of a familiar undead face.
The next perk for Black Ops 6, Perception of deathis a return perk from the zombies of Black Ops 4. This perk allows players to see zombies through walls and other obstacles, which will help in the tight confines of The Tomb. The new augments will allow players to improve weapon mods, critical hits, or farm more essence earlier in the game.
There will also be three new GobbleGums at the launch of Season 2. Ep Dead Drop GobbleGum increases salvage and gear drop rate by five minutes. This GobbleGum will likely see a lot of use in the high-round zombie community, where players typically rely on strategies that use up a lot of saves very quickly.
The legendary Modified Chaos GobbleGum greatly reduces all ammo mod cooldowns by two minutes. And the strange Quacknarok GobbleGum adds rubber duck inner tubes to all zombies in three minutes, if that's your thing.
Developer Treyarch they tease before the return of the fan-favorite zombie SMG — which turns out to be the PPSh-41, as shown in the Season 2 trailer.
Every weapon and accessory added to multiplayer and Warzone in Season 2 will also be available for use in Zombies, and a series of War Machine scores will also become available in the mode.
What's coming to Warzone in Season 2?
Most of the content of Warzone Season 2 has been pulled in order to improve the state of the game.
There is some new content coming to Warzone in Season 2, but this seasonal update will primarily include game tuning, weapon balancing, and quality of life upgrades for Battle Royale players. Much of the new content previously planned for this season has been pushed back to address what developer Treyarch called “fundamental issues” with Warzone.
Changes have been made to weapon swap speeds, reload speeds, jump speeds, parachute transitions, and sound clarity to create a fairer experience. Targeted bug fixes will also address issues with map visibility, perk performance, and weapon interactions.
SR gain and loss will also be adjusted for a better ranked experience, to give players a fairer chance to climb the ladder. New business cards, emblems, stickers, camos and blueprints are also added as rewards for playing ranked in Warzone.
However, two new perks will be added to Warzone in Season 2. The Reactive Armor perk will be available at launch and will allow armor to regenerate up to 50% for players who have not taken damage in the last five seconds. The low profile perk will be added mid-season and allows players to move faster while knocked down or prone.
What's happening in Black Ops 6 Seasonal Story?
While Season 1 as Sev and the Rogue Black Ops team pick up their enemies, burn their assets and deliver the ultimate blow against their might, Season 2 looks like it's going to be Call of Duty's version of The Empire Strikes Back — with the bad guys coming out on top .
The previous season focused on the Rogue crime family, still operating after the events of the campaign, with multiplayer maps such as Heirloom and Racket simulating battles that strike at the heart of the criminal empire. Sev and Troy were trying to remove Pantheon's financial support, crippling the terrorist organization.
Season 2 sees the rogues send their best assassins after the Black Ops team, which basically just means the new battle pass will be themed around a new ninja-looking operator. Whether the Lutaci plot will be finished by the end of this season remains to be seen.
