It's finally here: Netflix now has live soccer. Announced earlier this year, Christmas Day marks the start of the popular streaming service's NFL expansion, with two games on tap for the year: the Chiefs and Steelers in the opener at 1pm ET, followed by the Ravens and Texans later in the day. the second game at 4:30 PM ET.
The addition of live soccer games is Netflix's latest push for live content and the first major event since a troubled fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.
Both matches will be broadcast worldwide on Netflix, although they will also be available on phones and tablets for those who subscribe to NFL Plus. If you live in one of the teams' local markets, you can also catch the action on your local CBS station or even Paramount Plus (if you have the “with Showtime” option).
So if you're in Kansas City or Pittsburgh, you won't actually need to open Netflix to watch if you already have cable, satellite, dish, or Live TV broadcast a service that has CBS. Here's everything you need to know.

This NFL Week 17 matchup sees the Steelers host the Chiefs 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT) on Wednesday, December 25. The game will be held at Akrisur Stadium in Pittsburgh, home of the Steelers. It will stream in the US and worldwide on Netflix.
Do I need a special Netflix plan to watch NFL games for Christmas?
Any Netflix plan should work to watch both NFL games on Christmas Day as well as the halftime shows. This includes the cheapest ad-supported Netflix Standard option which costs $7 per month.
Netflix will be home to two Christmas Day NFL games this season. The games will be viewable regardless of which Netflix plan you have, including the company's cheapest $7 per month Standard option with ads.
How to watch Chiefs vs Steelers game in USA
This Sunday's Chiefs-Steelers game will be on Netflix in the US and worldwide, but will also be on CBS if you're in one of the teams' local markets and don't have Netflix.
That means those with cable, satellite, antenna or live tv streaming service that carries the local CBS affiliate in Kansas City or Pittsburgh will be able to watch a broadcast of the game and the halftime show without having to use Netflix.
The game will also be available in Kansas City and Pittsburgh for those with a Paramount Plus with Showtime accountalthough at $13 a month this option is more expensive than Netflix's cheapest plan. However, Paramount Plus offers a free trial.
Paramount Plus' more expensive “showtime” tier includes live CBS broadcasts, which will work to catch this football game on Netflix that airs on CBS stations in Kansas City and Pittsburgh.

CBS is available on most of the major streaming services, namely YouTube TV, Hulu Plus Live TV, DirecTV Stream and Fubo, although they all cost a lot more than Paramount Plus or Netflix. If you live in an area where the game is broadcast, an over-the-air antenna connected to your TV provides another option for CBS. The best part about antennas is that no streaming or monthly fees are required, although you will need to make sure that have a good reception.
