BEIJING (Reuters) – China has shared a lot of COVID-19 data and research findings with the international community, and work to trace the origin of the coronavirus should be done in other countries, the foreign ministry said on Tuesday.

In a statement on Monday, the World Health Organization also asked China to share data and access in efforts to understand the origins of COVID-19, the first cases of which were found in central China five years ago.
