The new year brought with it Terror in New Orleans and the Las Vegas Strip with many casualties
Fourteen people were killed and dozens injured when a driver rammed a car into a crowd at Canal and Bourbon streets in New Orleans in the early hours of New Year's Day. Hours later, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.
The New Orleans driver, Shamsududdin Jabbar, and the man targeted in the Cybertruck explosion, Matthew Lewellsberger, were Army soldiers who served at Fort Liberty and were deployed to Afghanistan in 2009, officials said.
