Delta Airlines and Uber have signed an agreement that offers a series of loyalty points to their mutual customers.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian and Uber Technologies CEO Dara Khosrowshahi on Tuesday during Bastian's speech at Display of consumer electronics In Las Vegas, the companies have agreed to a multi-year travel partnership that will launch this spring.

The new program allows SkyMile Delta members to earn miles when they ride with Uber and order Uber Eats.
At the same time, Uber customers will receive many benefits from the arrangement, including improved Uber pick-up and drop-off services at the Delta hub.

No official date has been set yet, but the companies will announce when customers will be able to link their Uber and Skymiles accounts when the new partnership begins.

After linking their respective company accounts, Uber customers can use their SkyMiles to book or upgrade Delta flights, book hotel rooms and make purchases with participating brands.
Uber customers will be able to earn Delta Sky Miles through Uber Eats at the rate of one mile per dollar spent on restaurant and grocery orders of $40 or more.

Rideshare customers can also earn one SkyMile for every dollar spent on UberX rides to and from airports. For premium rides, customers earn two miles per dollar spent on Uber Comfort and Uber Black, and three miles per dollar spent on Uber Reserve rides.
