Many travelers have faced delays at one point or another while flying.
A recent report from Sirius has identified the top players in 2024 Among the airlines Globally and regionally when it comes to on time flights.
For North American airlines, Delta Air Lines and nine other airlines appeared on Aviation Analytics' 2024 list of top 10 winners for punctuality. The organization considers flights that arrive within 15 minutes of their scheduled gate arrival time to be “on time”.

The airline told FOX Business it has invested “tens of millions of dollars in recent years to reduce flight delays, particularly related to air traffic control challenges” in the Northeast and Florida.
“Through these efforts, we have seen significant operational improvements in 2024, including better on-time performance during this year's peak summer travel season,” JetBlue said.
The airline also said it believes “responsibility for reliable air travel rests with the United States government as much as it operates our nation's air traffic control system” and urges the government to “modernize outdated ATC technology in prioritize” and “address the chronic shortage of air traffic controllers”. The five North American airlines that Sirius recognized as the most on-time airlines are:
1. Delta

3. Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines had on-time flights 79.25 percent of the time in 2024, the report said. According to its website, the company had a fleet of 320 aircraft as of the end of October.
4. American Airlines

The fourth place was awarded to American Airlines in 2024. According to Sirius, more than 2.17 million flights were operated with an on-time arrival rate of 77.78 percent and a completion rate of 98.95 percent. American is headquartered in Texas.
5. Southwest Airlines

Southwest flew on-time flights 77.77 percent of the time last year, Sirius said. The aviation analytics firm reported that Southwest will fly more than 1.45 million times in 2024. The company also ranked 5th in 2023.

Aeromexico ranks #1 in the world
Aeromexico, based in Mexico City, was ranked No. 1 in Cirium's global ranking for airline punctuality. According to this report, 86.70% of the time flights have been made on time.
It has been operating for nine decades. In September, the company announced that it had flown more than 500 million people during that time.
These domestic airlines have the most passengers in 2024

Globally, airlines will see 5.2 billion passengers According to the forecast of the International Air Transport Association, there will be about 40 million flights in 2025.
