Former CNN host Don Lemon thinks former “Today” host Matt Lauer could be back after his 2017. allegation of sexual harassment.

Lemon suggested that if the “cancellation is over” because of “the age of Trump,” there might be a chance for Lauer to return to the news.
'I'll put it this way,' Lemon said. “I think the general public can welcome Matt again, and I think people will watch him. And I think the ratings will be good.”
He also praised Lauer, saying, “Let me say this – some people are meant to do what they do. You know what I mean?
“I think if he goes back to digital, he can make his own way,” Lemon added.

Lauer was fired from his job as host of “Today” in 2017 during the height of the #MeToo movement after an employee said he engaged in “sexually inappropriate behavior” with her at the Winter Olympics of Sochi 2014.
Almost two years later, Ronan Farrow's book contained clear allegations of rape by his accuser. Lauer denied the allegations and insisted that sexual acts be combined.
