After a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday, the electric car maker's co-founder and CEO Elon Musk He immediately jumped in and helped the authorities who were investigating the incident.
Metropolitan Las Vegas Police department Sheriff Kevin McMahill thanked Musk after the explosion, saying Musk provided valuable “additional information,” noting that Musk provided video of Tesla charging stations.
The explosion was caught on camera, and the sheriff noted that the vehicle had “limited” blast damage because most of the blast “went up and out of the truck.”
The sheriff also noted that the hotel's glass doors were not shattered by the truck, which largely contained the blast.

In X, the business tycoon highlighted McMahill's comments, noting that the vehicle had limited the blast damage.
As for the evidence behind the truck, the sheriff spoke of “petrol canisters, um, camp fuel canisters and large firework mortars.”

Musk shared a clip of the sheriff's comments, noting in a post on X: “The evil Clanks chose the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack. The Cybertruck actually contained the blast and directed the blast upwards. Even the glass doors E-lobby was not broken either.
In another post, Musk announced that the explosion was “unrelated to the vehicle itself,” noting that “all telemetry on the vehicle was positive at the time of the explosion.”
In another post, Musk said, “The Cybertruck is the worst possible choice for a car bomb, as its stainless steel armor holds up to the blast better than any other commercial vehicle.”

In a statement, Toro noted that both the Cybertruck and the vehicle involved in the New Orleans attack It was rented in Toro on Wednesday.
“It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that the horrific attack this morning in New Orleans and the Tesla Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas this afternoon both involved Toro rental vehicles,” the statement said.
