Musk stated that the explosion was not related to the Cybertruck, noting that all the vehicle's telemetry was positive at the time of the explosion.

McMahill said most of the blast was carried up and out of the truck, limiting damage to the blast area. He pointed out that the doors of the hotel near which the truck was parked were not even broken.
“The Cybertruck is the worst possible choice for a car bomb because its stainless steel armor holds up better than any other commercial vehicle,” Musk tweeted.
