Vittoria Elliott: And you mentioned that everything is too signal. Obviously, there are rules around the maintenance of records around the government's work if you are a government employee. Anyone who has ever talked to you, “Hey, you have to store these messages. Hey, you must save these emails. Hey, you can't delete that.” Does anyone discuss … Any legal obligations around you to your work at Doge?
Sahil Lavingia: Are not. There is never any Doge or on board, right. Therefore, not contacting around the press, not talking to the press, taking photos, not taking photos, revealing anything you did to anyone. And yes, there's nothing about storage, maintenance of records. It is only done on the signal, and it is never conveyed as “This is why we use the signal for example.” It is like, “Steven will call you on the signal”, and that's about it.
Vittoria Elliott: And many DOGE engineers have been appointed to many agencies. Have you ever been assigned to another agency outside, and do you feel why there are so many DOGE engineers on many agencies?
Sahil Lavingia: Yes, I did not. I was indicated for VA, and I never received details, I guess, is the detailed term for any other agency. My feeling is that there are only fewer engineers in Doge than people think. There are 10 or less. And so I think they are only crazy limited in the number of people who can actually … If they have 500 engineers, they will not have to do it, but I think they only have very few, and especially very little they trust. I think this may be a division and feel that if you participate after the uneducated, you are considered an external contribution volunteer. And if you participate in the exam in advance, you have been done a bit more seriously, is my prediction, and only more time to build trust with Steve and Elon, et Cetera. Therefore, I think they only believe in a very small team of people, so they just need a group of people who only run around and go from one agency to another.
Vittoria Elliott: Understand. Given that you have touched the data can be really sensitive, is there any control in? Does anyone sit down and say, “You will touch a series of sensitive things. You are not allowed to do this.” You feel like there are any kind, I guess, the conversation at DOGE on how to process this data, how to ensure it is protected safely, how to ensure that people can return to the private sector, that it is not used for their own benefit?
Sahil Lavingia: Yes. Nothing is the distinctive of the surrounding, but yes. I think it depends on the agency, and the agencies have their own protocols that they follow. And in our case at VA, there are some data they say, “If you want to access this, you have to go through these two -hour course on the internet where you go through a series of tests and must say that you can … you understand the risk.” But in terms of personnel data, I can access all personnel data, all contracts without … I don't have to sign anything or say anything I agree to not share it with the public or do anything like that. It is an implication. I was surprised, though. I mean, I … I asked them once. I am like, “I like how many people have access to personnel data?” And they are like, “basically everyone in HR.” I am like, “You know this data has the social security number of everyone in it. There are 473,000 social security.” And they are like, “Yes, thousands of people have access to it.” I am like, “it's strange.” And I think the government can improve these control measures and make them better. Once I have access to this is called CDW, in which … I think it stands for the company's data warehouse, which is effective all the data in and at CDW at a time and they recovered my access a few hours later when they realized that someone had given me access to this and basically he and they were like the high -class advisor. Give you access to all data when you request. ” I think that in the first place, it feels much more powerful than people think, and so people only do what we ask them to do and it is not necessary that I will be like, “By the way, follow your process. I don't ask you to do anything else.”
