The lack of security for “fair and lasting peace” for Ukraine would weaken not only Europe, but also the United States, the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen warned on Friday as the prospects of the peace agreement of Russia-Ukraina.
Von der Leyen said that the authoritarian states carefully observed the progress of negotiations directed by the US to end the conflict of almost three years and what concessions could be made to Russia despite the neighbor's invasion.
“Failed Ukraine would weaken Europe, but it would also weaken the United States,” said von der Leyen at a security conference in Munich.
