The FBI has warned professional sports teams about a targeted home invasion in a Communications Intelligence Report, ABC News reported Monday.
The report says the gangs are conducting “physical and technical training” to prepare for the robbery. They use social media to get an idea of where and when someone will leave their home, and then make their mark.

The so-called “perception” that athletes can own designer goods, expensive jewelry and money makes them victims, according to the report. “Organized robbery gangs” reportedly robbed the homes of at least nine professional athletes.
“Although most burglaries occur when homes are unoccupied, some burglaries occur while residents are at home. In these cases, individuals are encouraged to seek legal help and avoid dealing with criminals, as they may become armed or use violence if confronted,” the report said. it said, according to ABC News.
