the president Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday to end diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs in the federal government, and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Tuesday implemented the directive after a change in presidential administrations.
FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said in a post on X that he would “end the FCC's promotion of DEI and focus our work on properly fulfilling the FCC's statutory mission.” Carr added that the FCC will no longer include DEI enhancements in the agency's strategic plans.
