This is the kind of PC that looks more structured and sound in action. At least it makes it cool and looks cool. Air comes from below and the sides flow out to the back and top. It is an efficient and proven layout. This keeps everything cool and quiet. The RGB lights provide a glow that fills my little gamer heart with subtle delight.
Aquarium fish tank design has received attention for good reason. Now you can see your expensive gamer products from more angles. Unfortunately, I had issues with the workmanship of the Corsair 3500X mid-tower case. It looks nice, but you have to avoid placing heavy objects on top of it. This will prevent your square box from turning into a toaster oven.
My Origin Neuron 3500X setup would cost about $3,387 MSRP, but Origin has dropped the price to $2,888 at the time of this review. At least it comes with free shipping at this price. Even if you need to separate out the crate for firewood. It is a fair price for what you get. But part of me knows you can demand better from your desktop tower. If looks were everything A PC in an aquarium box would be perfect for the picture. Several details detract from the overall solid production.

The three Corsair-branded exhaust fans are especially pleasing and eye-catching, and the iCUE software installed by default makes it easy to change the fan colors and patterns on everything at once. But I have another problem with the Corsair 3500 mid-size tower. The Y-shaped grill looks clean, but it also causes the top plate to curve toward the center. Origin PC Neuron 3500X review: Performance
The configuration Corsair sent me included 32GB of DDR5, 6400 MT/s RAM, RTX 4080 Super, and the latest top-end Intel Arrow Lake CPU, Core Ultra 9 285K. The CPI normally goes up to a 3.7 GHz clock speed, but TurboBoost should be able to overclock up to 5.7 GHz, at least according to the designers.
Until I came across Origin, I hadn't fully dived into Intel's latest desktop-class CPUs. I still don't understand why chip makers abandoned previous generation naming conventions in favor of the more recent “Ultra” moniker. laptop chip–
In any case I've also heard some murmurs about how the chip's performance compares to last-generation top-end desktop chips, like the Intel Core i9-14900K. My CPU performance comparisons have done nothing to quash chip aficionados' claims that Arrow Lake is better. But it's worse for gaming. In the 3D Mark test, when facing the RTX 4080 Super, the Maingear PC scored better in the 3D Mark Time Spy and Steel Nomad benchmarks.
It's not that you won't get great gaming performance from this Origin PC. I tested the machine in several games at different resolutions. in Cyberpunk 2077 Playing non-benchmark games at ultrawide 3440 x 1440 resolution, I was able to hit around 50 FPS at max settings. With Ray Tracing enabled and no DLSS. With Nvidia's upscaling, you can get up to around 90 FPS in busy scenes. At 4K Cyberpunk starts to drop to 30 FPS.
You can't expect much more from a PC at this price. Baldur's Gate III It was very smooth, doing 105 FPS outdoors in Act 1 and about 87 FPS in the city. Act III, when I played Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, I saw about 90 FPS in busy scenes.
You can expect the most demanding games. On average, I achieved 70 FPS with DLSS thrown in. Forbidden HorizonWest and about 90 FPS in God of War: Ragnarok– The system measures game performance well and plays well as well. The only problem is that the experience isn't as clean as you'd get with Intel's 14th generation gaming-focused CPUs. The Neuron model has an option for up to the AMD Ryzen 9 9950x.
