Former NASCAR star Danica Patrick has given a nod to President Donald Trump's decision to revoke the security detail of Dr. Anthony Fauci.
In an Instagram story Friday night, Patrick shared the news about Fauci lost security detail with quotes from Trump, adding the words “Damn right.”
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) requested immunity for Fauci in 2020 to protect him from threats he received as a top health official and public spokesman during the COVID-19 pandemic. But those details were withdrawn on Thursday night.
“I think, you know, when you work for the government, at some point your security information comes up, and you know, you're not going to have it forever,” Trump said of that decision. “We've removed some people, too, but you can't have a security detail for the rest of your life because you work for the government.”

When asked if he would feel any responsibility if something happened to Fauci, Trump said he refused.
“No. You know, they've all made a lot of money. They can hire their security,” Trump said. “Of course, I wouldn't take responsibility.”
Patrick has been one of the most prominent figures in his campaign to support Trump and the Republicans over the past year. He recently suggested that it must be difficult for Californians to accept how their state is being managed after the government's response to the LA wildfires.

“California has 840 miles of coastline and 3,000 lakes and reservoirs. Why don't they have enough water to put out any fires?” wrote to X.
“Sometimes I have to think it's hard for die-hard Cali fans to accept the state of their country and how it's run.”

Then he wrote that it is time for Gov. Gavin Newsom resigned, using the word “Newscum.”
In October, Patrick confirmed in an interview with “Jesse Watters Primetime” that he will be voting for president for the first time in 2024, and it will be for Trump.
“It sounds like I'm being picky Donald Trump it is like a rational choice. It's like a logical, logical choice,” Patrick told Watters.

Patrick added that he doesn't understand why “MAGA,” or Trump's slogan of “Make America Great Again,” is considered “insulting” by some.
“However, I feel that, above all, what this country could be if he were to take office, with all the wonderful, brilliant people supporting him, I feel that it would not make America be great again, but make America greater than ever,” he said.
In the same interview, he explained his faith that transgender athletes should not be allowed to compete in women's sports, which became a key campaign issue for Trump and Republicans in 2024.
“It's completely wrong,” Patrick said of transgender athletes being allowed to compete with women. “And this is coming from someone who was a woman who was actually in a man's game. A man is just different. Their hormones are different. Their bodies are different.”
