A young woman who claims that she was raped and threatened by the retired NFL Shannon Sharpe player during the “rocky consensual union” filed a civil law against him, looking for compensation of $ 50 million.
The lawyers filed a lawsuit on Sunday in Clark, Nevada, for a woman mentioned in court documents as Jane Doe. The lawsuit also accuses Sharpe of using physical force on her and evoking emotional stress.
According to court documents, the woman first met Sharpe at the gym in Los Angeles in 2023, when she was 20 years old and almost a two -year relationship. 56 -year -old Sharpe is accused of raping a woman in October 2024 and again in January, they gave court documents.
Sharpe published his lawyer's statement on the subject of X on Monday, saying that the relationship was in line and calling the lawsuit “a glaring and cynical attempt to shock” Sharpe for millions of dollars.
“He is filled with lies, distortions and misleading – and he will fail,” said Lanna J. Davis in a statement published by Sharpe.
Sharpe is accused of more and more verbally abusive, with time controlling and violent, once threatening her with killing and registering their sexual meetings without consent, according to the complaint.
“Sharpe flew into anger when the plaintiff noticed his infidelity towards their relationship or called him about his foreign actions,” said the trial. “Sharpe even invented how to get to the Doe apartment complex without her consent.”
Sharpe was a four-time tight end of All-PRO, who played in two Super Bowl champions with Denver, and the second of Baltimore in 14 seasons in 1990-2003. He was voted for Hall of Fame in 2011.
Sharpe retired as the leader of the NFL of all time among tight goals in parties (815), receiving yards (10,060) and application (62). Since then, these entries have been beaten.
Sharpe is the basis for television and social media since retiring. In 2023 he left the sports debate of FS1 “Undisputed” and soon joined ESPN.
