Fortnite Festival adds local co-op play so you can relive the glory days of Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

Fortnite Festival will support local multiplayer starting Tuesday, January 14, meaning you can sit in a room with friends and play plastic guitar controllers together just like old times. Of course, most of us probably don't have those plastic guitars anymore, but regular controllers will do just fine. The feature is coming to Xbox and PlayStation, and festival main stage mode will support up to four local players at once. Maybe it's nostalgia talking, but these are the rules?

For those who don't know, Fortnite Festival is a rhythm game developed for Epic by Harmonix (best known for Rock Band and the early Guitar Hero games). It was first released in late 2023. In addition to regular controllers, the game also supports Rock band 4 guitar controllers for Xbox, PlayStation and PC, as well as the recently released PDP Riffmaster.
