Four people were killed and another 19 were injured in a mass attack by Russian drones against the central Ukrainian city of Denipro, said the regional leader.
Sergius Lisak said that a restaurant complex and several residential buildings were blazing after the attack late on Friday.
He said that “the enemy has sent more than 20 drones” to the city and that “most of them have been downloaded.”
Later, images and videos appeared showing firefighters who deal with large fires, absorbing hit buildings, and broken glass and other debris scattered along the city streets.
At night, air sirens were heard to sound in several other Ukrainian regions, including the capital Kiev. It was not clear immediately whether there were casualties.
The Russian military has not commented on the issue.
In her video late on Friday, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski again accused Russia of heading to Ukrainian energy infrastructure – in violation of a temporary moratorium agreed earlier this month in negotiations related to the United States.
Moscow also repeatedly accuses Ukraine of attacking the energy sector of Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this week suggested that Ukraine should be temporarily placed under UN control To choose what he called a more “competent” government.
It is regarded as the Kremlin's last attempt to challenge the legitimacy of the Kiev government – a move widely condemned by the allies of Ukraine.
Ukraine has accused Putin of offering “crazy” ideas to slow down the more movement of a fire to end the fire, which is supported by US President Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, Washington said the two countries agreed to a limited truce in the Black Sea.

Russia has repeatedly warned that the deployment of any European troops in Ukraine is unacceptable and such forces will be considered by the Kremlin as a legal purpose.
Russia launched a full -scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, and currently Moscow controls about 20% of Ukrainian territory.
