“Two Palestinian prisoners who were released this weekend from the prison said they saw Abu Safia in the prison, and another former prisoner said he heard Abu Safia's name being read,” CNN reported, published Monday.
The World Health Organization (WHO) and Gaza officials said lost contact and the Abu Safia attack on Friday, which saw Israeli soldiers burn Kamal Adwan and drive away many medical workers and patients – closing the only partially functioning hospital in northern Gaza.
The Israeli army confirmed on Saturday that it had arrested the director because he was “suspected of belonging to the terrorist group Hamas” and that the hospital was used as a “command and control center” without providing evidence for his claims.
When asked if Abu Safia had been transferred to Israeli territory for questioning, the military did not comment.
On Monday, Israeli media published a movie of the minutes before Abu Safia was arrested by Israeli soldiers, the photo shows his efforts to move hundreds of patients and medical workers to safety after the Israeli army gave a 15-minute warning to evacuate the hospital.
'Violence and torture'

Abu Safia refused several orders from Israel to leave Kamal Adwan after the Israeli army closed the northern part of the Gaza Strip on October 5.
The director general of the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the doctor, who documented the atrocities committed by Israel in his hospital, was severely beaten with batons and batons by Israeli soldiers during the war, forced to strip and wear clothes made for prisoners. .
Abu Safia's family told CNN: “Sde Teiman is known for brutality and torture, we cannot imagine what our father is going through in that place and if he is okay or not, hot or cold… and hungry or in pain.”
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the WHO, called for the release of Abu Safia under Article X on Monday, saying that hospitals in Gaza have become “war zones” and that public health is “at grave risk”.
Tedros said the critical patients in Kamal Adwan were transferred to the Indonesian Hospital, “which is not working”.
“Amidst the ongoing unrest in northern Gaza, WHO and its partners today provided medical and sanitation assistance, food and water to an Indonesian hospital and transferred 10 patients to al-Shifa hospital,” he said.
“We urge Israel to ensure that their medical needs are met.”
He said seven patients along with 15 caregivers and medical staff remained at the “heavily damaged” Indonesian hospital.
