Georgia is preparing for the inauguration of a ruling party loyalist as president on Sunday, after his election was declared “illegitimate” by the outgoing leader and the anti-Western opposition. The inauguration of Mikheil Kavelashvili is expected to exacerbate the political crisis that has seen pro-EU protests.
