Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser opened the night by poking fun at celebrities because of themselves past presidential deals which seemed to have no effect.
When the awards show began Sunday night, Glaser began by praising the celebrity suite, but quickly turned to grilling them.
“I'm not here to burn you tonight. I want you to know that. How could I, really? You're all famous, talented, and powerful. I mean, you can do anything. .. I mean, without telling the country who to vote for,” Glaser said.
As the crowd laughed, he followed up by saying, “But that's okay! You'll find them next time! If they are. I'm scared.”

Many Hollywood celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Alec Baldwin, Leonardo DiCaprio and Golden Globe nominee Harrison Ford, came out. the support of Vice President Kamala Harris before the presidential election.
Despite their agreements, Harris lost to President-Elect Donald Trump, losing seven swing states as well as the popular vote. Harris also failed to flip any districts that voted for Trump in 2020.
After he was announced as the homeowner in August, Glaser wrote a statement expressing his excitement at tease a popular audienceciting former debate host Ricky Gervais as an inspiration.

“I'm so excited to host the Golden Globes,” Glaser wrote in a statement reported by The Hollywood Reporter. “It's one of my favorite nights on television and now I get a front row seat ( in fact, I think I have to accept from the platform). The Golden Globes is not only a big night for TV and film but also for comedy. one of the few times show business not only allows but offers to be mocked with love (at least I hope so.) It's a fun party, but it's challenging because it's live, unpredictable and in front of you. of Hollywood's biggest stars (who might as well be spoiled while sitting next to their latest crew).
