Hamas says that the trio of Israeli hostages will be released as planned on Saturday

The Palestinian group of Hamas fighters signaled on Thursday that the crisis threatening the termination of the weapon suspension agreement in gas can be avoided despite the uncertainty as to the number of hostages that will be issued on Saturday and misunderstandings about help supplies.

The 42-day suspension of weapons appeared this week close to accusations on both sides of the violations of the contract sealed last month with the help of Egyptian mediators and Katari and US support.

Hamas said that he did not want the contract to collapse, although it rejected what he calls “the language of threats and intimidation” from the prime minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu and US president Donald Trump. These leaders said that the suspension of the weapon should be canceled if the hostages are not released.

“Therefore, Hamas confirms his commitment to implementing the contract as signed, including the exchange of prisoners in accordance with a specific schedule,” Hamas said in a statement.

Hamas, whose main Gaza leader, Khalil Al-Hayya, visits Cairo for talks with Egyptian security officials, also said that both Egyptian and Qatar mediators will try to “remove obstacles and close gaps”.

“There is a contract. They will not be able to give anything less than in the contract, “he said. “I don't believe Hamas may behave differently.”

Egyptian security sources informed Reuters that they expect heavy construction equipment to come on Thursday, and if this happens, Hamas will spend hostages on Saturday.

Egyptian officials and Qatar worked on avoiding failure, and a Palestinian official similar to mediation efforts stated that both sides agreed to suspend weapons and replace hostages for Palestinian prisoners.

Hamas said that talks in Cairo focused on such issues as Israel, allowing the entry of mobile houses, tents, medical and fuel materials and heavy machines needed to remove debris.

International aid, officials confirmed that despite significant logistics problems, help came, although they warned that much more were needed.

“In a sense, we have observed improvement, but certainly the answer is not enough to meet the needs of so many people who encounter so much damage and losses,” said Shaina Low, an official from the Norwegian Council of Refugees based in Jordan Capital, Amman.

She said that there were shelter materials, despite Israeli restrictions on the so -called “double use” materials, which can also be used for military purposes.
