Hunter's and Lenee's Instagram accounts have been shut down, which was noticed on Sunday.
Since he was named the college football player of the year, the Colorado Buffaloes The star had a lot of worries on the Internet, when rumors, descriptions of his relationship and others began to move.

What seemed to start the internet frenzy was Lenee's reaction after Hunter was officially named the Heisman winner last week.
The others singled out Lenee who sat after hugging Hunter and cheering him on, as did everyone else in the room. New York City he stood and applauded for the two-way star when he greeted the others. Finally, Hunter returned to Lenee, bowed, and gave her a long hug before walking to the stage.
Then, at a meet and greet event, a video of Lenee seemingly upset that she just sat and watched Hunter meet fans became the subject of criticism.

It got to the point where Lenee, Hunter's longtime girlfriend who he proposed to in March, made a TikTok video defending his relationship. However, social media trolls continued to use this video as fuel for their fire.
On the other hand, Hunter went on his Twitch stream to defend his girlfriend.

“I know what I have,” he said. “I know my girl. My girl has been here with me for five years. You're starting to talk about me and now you're starting to be with me. Come on, man.”
The comments and criticism continued for Hunter and Lenee despite their attempts to make people understand, so it looks like they are done dealing with it for now.
In the meantime, Hunter is preparing for what is expected to be the team's final game in the Alamo Bowl against BYU. Players expected to be taken high in the NFL Draft will often skip their bowl games, but Hunter explained why he won't be among that crowd.
“It's really important because I started this thing with Coach Prime, with Shedeur, and a lot of coaches on the coaching staff, so I wanted to finish it right,” Hunter said on Dec. 13 when asked if he why is he playing.

Because of his ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball as a wide receiver and cornerback, Hunter is expected to be a top-five pick in next year's draft.
