Entrepreneur, author and content creator Ankur Warikoo recently shared a detailed account of his business ventures and income streams for 2024 on social media platform X. Warikoo. A partnership with his wife.
Wariku explained in his letter that the figures he presented reflect income rather than personal salary. He explained the structure of his company, which consists of three distinct business units: the Warikoo brand, focused on his personal branding and content creation; WebVeda, dedicated to educational content; and an investment unit that reinvests profits into other businesses.
Warikoo's content business, Brand Warikoo, stands out as the cornerstone of his operations, boasting an impressive digital presence across multiple platforms. Although there is some overlap between audiences, his combined follower count exceeds 14.8 million.
According to the data, YouTube is Warikoo's biggest platform, with 6.58 million followers. This includes 5.88 million followers for his personal finance content, as well as a smaller audience for his short stories, career-related content and podcasts. Instagram has 3.71 million followers and LinkedIn has 2.41 million. Other platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Threads contribute between 565,000 and 673,638 followers, while newsletters and WhatsApp channels together add more than 280,000 followers.
Discussing his income for 2024, Warikoo revealed that his businesses generated a total of Rs. 16.84 crores (approx. $2 million) from various sources of income. This includes Rs. 2.38 crore (USD 280,000) from speaking engagements, Rs. 1.65 crore (US$200,000) from book royalties and Rs. 2.76 crore (USD 325,000) from brand collaborations and endorsements. His education platform WebVeda has raised a substantial Rs. 9.56 crore (US$ 1.1 million).
Reflecting on his earnings, Warikoo expressed his gratitude, stating, “It's crazy that I can make so much money for something I love.” However, he emphasized that these figures represent gross revenue and that the actual profit is between 20-25% after accounting for expenses such as team salaries and marketing.
