Hyundai Motor Company has signed a co -understanding memorandum with Spinoff Avride Yandex to accelerate autonomous mobility.
Under the partnership, both companies jointly develop and operate vehicles that can drive completely autonomous.
The partnership aims to combine Hyundai EV platform technology, especially the IDIQ 5, with Avride autonomous driving expertise, to develop the development of future mobility solutions, such as robotaxis and autonomous delivery services.
The collaboration builds on the Avride experience of using Hyundai vehicles, such as the Sonata and IoniQ 5, as platforms for autonomous technology.
Hyundai will play a central role in this partnership, providing advanced technology support to enable the use of vehicles that include Avride autonomous systems.
The agreement will see an increase in fleet 5 based on IoniQ Avride. The first of these vehicles intended to be used in the coming months.
The IoniQ 5 vehicles will be assembled at the new Hyundai Motor Group's new manufacturing facility Hyundai (HMGMA) in Georgia. The vehicles will then be worn with Avride technology.
To be introduced in Dallas later this year, these robotaxis will operate entirely on the Uber platform.
Avride CEO Dmitry Polishchuk said: “Our team has been working with Hyundai Motor Group since 2019, and we value the professionalism and collaboration that has defined this partnership.
“This new agreement with Hyundai Motor Company will help us scale our operations significantly, with plans to expand our fleet to up to 100 autonomous IDIQ 5 in 2025, replacing Hyundai Motor Hyundai 5 and our autonomous driving technology.”
Both companies will focus on developing autonomous vehicles for robotaxi applications and exploring collaboration in autonomous distribution services using Avride robots.

In October 2024, Uber Technologies and Avride has joined to integrate Avride distribution robots and autonomous vehicles to Uber and Uber services eat.
