Indiana University (IU) teaches students that they are inherently “oppressors” because of their race, gender and religion, documents show.
According to the school's websitethe course “Understanding Diversity in a Pluralistic Society” encourages students to explore “theories and models” in order to “improve understanding of our diverse society.”
The course “provides information about the differences and similarities in the experiences, needs, and beliefs of selected minority groups and their relationship with the majority group.”
It added that “groups include, but are not limited to, people of color, women, and queer people.”

The Free Beacon first reported it that class instructor Colleen Rose prompts students to create a “deep representation of two parts of (their) identity: one subordinate and one dominant.”
The Beacon found a chart that is given to students to define certain groups. The chart explains that the “subordinate groups” are under “social pressure” by the “dominant groups.” These groups include LGBTQ people, women and religious and ethnic minorities.
“Heterosexual, white, able-bodied, Christian,” and “men” are the “main groups” to blame for “social oppression.”

“I'm being punished for my identity as a person,” the student told Lebone.
The student went on to say, “It's so rich that in a class where we have to talk about identity and not suppress my identity, I have to suppress my personality…be a lucky, awesome person.” who did not grow up without food.
The course, offered by IU's School of Social Work, fulfills credit requirements for the college's “social and historical studies.”
IU did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Some universities offer courses that explore race relations, gender and sexual identity.

For example, Fox News Digital reported first in Princeton University's one-semester program offering a Gender and Sexuality Studies (GSS) program. Program has classes on topics such as “sex work” and “queer spaces.” The course includes topics such as “sensual dance,” “pornography” and more, according to the university's online course listing.
