Canadian government deploying “emergency response to crisis” in the Middle East as a conflict between Israel and Iran The day is worse after the US strike on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Global Affairs Canada said in a statement Sunday that the response would include 24-7 aid and consular access to Canada.
This comes when the United States has also issued a “caution worldwide” alert for its citizens abroad.
Canada is also providing departure powers for Canadians who want to leave Israel or the West Bank as the crisis intensifies and they will also support those who want to leave Iran.
Global Affairs Canada said Israel had to postpone a planned departure from Israel on Sunday. It added that the Canadian government was “in regular contact with Canada, which has requested help in Iran, Israel and the West Bank.”
“We continue to look for close cooperation with our international partners and all available paths to help people in Canada,” World Affairs Canada said in a statement.
The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) also temporarily stopped the removal of Israel.
The agency said in a statement on Monday, “The move is being taken in view of the unstable and unexpected situation in Israel due to the hostility with Iran.”
This order does not apply to individuals who are unacceptable to Canada on the basis of crime, serious crimes, international or human rights violations, organized crime or security.

Canadians in Iran should 'leave' now
Canadians in the region are being encouraged to enroll in Registration of Canada abroad. This will give them a regular update about the progress made in the region, including travel options to leave the area.
