The senior leader of the Islamic State (IS) group in Iraq and Syria has been killed in an operation by members of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service along with the US -led coalition forces, the Iraqi prime minister said.
ABDALLAH MAKKI MUSLIH AL-RIFA, also known as ABU Khadija, “was considered one of the most dangerous terrorists in Iraq and the world,” according to Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani.
US President Donald Trump said “he was mercilessly persecuted by our fearless fighters.”
The US Central Command (Centcom) posted on X, which seemed to be a video of the strike, which on Thursday is said to have taken place in the province of West Al Anbar in Iraq.
