The Israeli military issued an extensive new evacuation order for the southern Gaza strip -the largest of its offensive on the Palestinian territory, resumed earlier this month.
The military instructed the residents of Rafa and parts of the neighboring Khan Novis to leave immediately for the Al Mavasi Humanitarian Zone, warning that its forces “return to intensive operations to dismantle terrorist organizations” in the regions.
The Palestinians who returned to their homes in Rafa during the recent cessation of the fire between Israel and Hamas are now beginning to run.
About one fifth of the gas is now covered by evacuation orders.
The UN Human Rights Service warned last week that evacuations were failing to comply with international law, accusing Israel of not taking measures to provide accommodation for affected or providing satisfactory hygiene, health, safety and nutrition.
The Israel government has said it has evacuated civilians to protect them from Hamas fighters, which he accuses of using them as human shields in violation of international law. The Israeli military also insisted that he was doing everything he could to limit civilian victims.
Israel has renewed its ethereal and terrestrial campaign against Hamas on March 18, accusing the Palestinian Armed Group of rejecting a new proposal in the United States to extend the cessation of fire and release the 59 hostages still held captive in gas. Hamas, for his part, accused Israel of breaching the original deal they agreed in January.
Since then, more than 1,000 people in Gaza have been killed, according to the health ministry in the territory.
The UN claims that food and medical supplies are also exhausted for 2.1 million population, as Israel has also blocked the supplies of humanitarian aid on the territory of March 2.
Israel started its first major operation in Rafa, on the border with Egypt, last May, leaving large parts of it in ruins.
However, tens of thousands of people returned to the rest of their homes in the city during the cessation of fire.
During their previous operation in Rafa, the Israeli forces seized a strategic buffer zone along the border with Egypt and did not withdraw from it, as required in the fire termination agreement.
Israel said it was necessary to maintain a presence there to prevent weapons from smuggling in Gaza, and Hamas reincarnated.
Rafa Haifa Dahair's displaced resident said she was forced to run with her baby's daughter and three other young children on Monday because there was no transport.
“We went home two months ago … Although the house was destroyed, with a shrapnel in it and the windows were broken,” she told Reuters news agency.
“(My) girl was born in the tent and today they ordered the shift of the whole Rafa,” she added. “Half of our children walked before us, and the other half remained with us. God help us.”
Meanwhile, additional deadly air strikes have been reported in Gaza, as the Israeli military said it was heading for Hamas.
Eight people, including three children and two women, were killed when a house was struck in the Tufa neighborhood in Gaza, north, according to the Hamas Civil Protection Agency.
Hospital from a hospital in Khan Einnis also showed a young boy among several killed souls.
The Israeli military said that troops performing operations to expand the “perimeter of security” in the northern and central gas have dismantled an underground tunnel with a length of 1 km belonging to Hamas and eliminated more than 50 “terrorists”.
The Israeli military launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 were taken hostage.
More than 50,350 people were killed in Gaza during the subsequent war, according to the health ministry in the territory.
