Jimmy Carter's legacy…in his own words

Former US President and Nobel Peace Prize winner Jimmy Carter has died at the age of 100.

Honored for his philanthropic work at the self-titled Carter Center, every living president has made a career statement.

In a series of BBC interviews throughout his life, Carter reflected on how he envisioned his legacy, telling the BBC's Andrew Marr in 2011 that it was defined by a “commitment to peace”.
