Israel ordered the evacuation of about 400 civilians inside, including babies who needed oxygen and incubators.

The head of Gaza's last partially functioning hospital is appealing for help, saying Israeli soldiers have surrounded the hospital.

Dr Hussam Abu Safia, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, on Monday urged countries to act “before time runs out”, calling it “dangerous”.

He also said that complying with Israel's order to remove the site “would not be impossible” because about 400 civilians stay indoors, including babies who need ventilation and incubators.

“The bombing continues from all sides, affecting the building, the departments and the staff. This is difficult and very dangerous,” said Abu Safia.

Outside the hospital in Beit Lahiya, Israeli soldiers have planted what they believe to be explosives at the gates. Witnesses said a motorized vehicle brought boxes with the word “danger”.

“(The robots) are loaded with tons of explosives that can destroy the neighborhood,” Abu Azzoum said.

“The Israeli army is trying to force the medical teams by destroying the (medical) facilities,” Abu Azzoum said.

Abu Safia said: “The world must understand that our hospital is being targeted with the intention of killing us and removing us,” adding that the bombings in Israel did not stop throughout Sunday night. destroy the house and surrounding buildings.

“We urge the international community to take immediate action and stop this terrible attack to protect the safety of health, workers and patients inside,” said the hospital director.

Since Monday morning, the hospital has been bombarded in its grounds and its roof was dropped by quadcopters, threatening the hospital's fuel and air supply, he said.

“The situation is still very dangerous and needs urgent international intervention before it's too late,” the doctor said.

Abu Safia did the same on Sunday, blaming Israel direct bombing of the hospital's intensive care unit.
