Kangaroo “really” muscular “tried to drown” a man in Australia after the two went into a stroke.
Don James is said to have fought for his life, as Marsupial kept him in flooded waters that gathered on the side of the road near Port Machary – only escaped after the animal seemed to be scared.
Christy Laise, who watched the battle unfold in her rearview mirror, told the BBC: “Not every day is a big, male kangaroo decides to take you … Even in Australia you don't expect to see it.”
She suspected that the “very difficult” kangaroo was trapped in the area after a record flood, which struck New South Wales this week, leaving five people killed.
D -Ja Lais was reported for the first time about Kangaroo's presence when she descended to check the water levels in the north shore of Port McKari with her husband, around 9:00 local time on Friday (11:00 GMT on Thursday).
Two men – one of whom was later identified as Don James of Australian News Network ABC – He warned them that there was a “really big” kangaroo right around the next parked car.
And surely enough, there was the kangaroo – “as big as the car” it was standing next to.
The next thing that D -Ja Lais knew, the kangaroo had fired at her car, which she slowed down to crawl so as not to startle the animal and began to attack it.
But as he was moving to her side of the car, Kangaroo seemed to notice another goal: James, who was still moving along the way.
The kangaroo is pursuing.
“They literally got into a boxing match,” Christie said. “I look in the rearview mirror and they throw blows.”
James then ran back before he collides and stains from flooding to the side of the road.
The next thing Christie knew, “the kangaroo kept him.”
“Kangaroo tried to drown the man,” she said. “I understood what was happening and told my husband (who couldn't see the battle from his seat) get out of the car and help.”
But then it seems that the kangaroo was scared -perhaps from the approaching car driven by the friend of G -n James -allowing him to escape to the d -Lais, who has since tried to warn as many neighbors as possible.
“Kangaroo was trying to drown me,” he told G -Ja Lais, who managed to say she saw all this.
“I just remember that I was underwater and kicked and screamed and continue,” James told ABC later.
He was, he said, “quite traumatic for a while.”
It is known that kangaroos are trying to drown their enemies – although these are usually animals the size of dogs.
“There is a very strong instinct – kangaroo will go to water if they are threatened by a predator,” he told News Network.
However, he said the behavior was probably more to protect himself than to drown their enemy.
This is unlikely to make James feel better for the dispute on Friday morning -especially when he told Gja Lais that only 12 months ago he gave up another attack, that time of a big white shark.
“I have the feeling that they are trying to kill me, all these animals,” he said.
