Keanu Reeves' Johnny Silverhands is coming to Fortnite


Fortnite is about to get more punk. The phenomenally popular battle royale game has already had some major crossovers this year, with Marvel, Fallout and even on NBAand will bring the two main characters from Cyberpunk 2077 in the game.

Skins for rock star icon-turned-revolutionary Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves, as well as a female version of the game's main character, V, will be available for purchase Monday night in the Fortnite store. reports Eurogamer. No price has been set yet, but each skin will likely cost 1,500 V-Bucks, or roughly $12, as detailed in images found by data miners of the game. There will also be accessories to purchase along with the skins.

The official Fortnite X account announced the crossover on Sunday with a message saying, “We're expecting guests from Night City.”

This will be the second time Reeves will be available to play as a character in Fortnite. Back in 2019, the Battle Royale game had a crossover with The John Wick franchiseadding an in-game skin for the title character, as well as adding a replica of Vic's house to the map.

These crossovers with franchises, celebrities and other entities can last an entire season, which can be in play for up to 10 weeks, or in some cases, just one day. Fortnite developer Epic Games has yet to provide details on the Cyberpunk crossover, so it's unclear how long the skins will be available for purchase.

While in-game purchases are what make Fortnite worthwhile billions of dollarsthose purchases also landed publisher Epic Games in trouble with the federal government. The company settled with the Federal Trade Commission in 2023 over years of unwanted in-game purchases that affected thousands of individuals. Earlier this month, payments totaling $245 million were sent to those affected as part of the settlement.
