Knekap Irish rappers deny support for Hamas and Hezbollah, sorry for the comments about the murder of politicians


Irish rapeseers refused to support Hamas and Hezbollah and publicly apologized to the families of two killed British legislators, when the trio hip-hop continues to face the public reaction for the political views they expressed at their concerts.

“Let's be clear: we do not do it and never support Hamas and Hezbollah. We always condemn all attacks on civilians. This is never fine,” the statement said on Monday on social media.

Knecap's statement appeared after the UK police said they were investigating a video related to Knecap concert since 2024, in which one of the band members appears to scream “Hamas, Hazbollah”.

Hamas and HezbollahBoth are currently engaged Fighting with IsraelAppointed terrorist groups of the United States, Israel and the European Union.

British and Irish governments severely condemned the language used by Knecap members.

Speaking to journalists on Monday, the leader of the Republic of Ireland Michal Martin said that Hamas's support or Hezbollah was “unacceptable” and asked Knekap to clarify his views urgently. A press secretary of the British Prime Minister Keira Starmer said on Monday that he had condemned the comments of the group “in the strongest conditions”.

The UK police also said they were considering a video from a concert in 2023, in which one knee member appears to be called to kill conservative parties, which are often known as Tori, saying on the stage: “The only good Torah is dead Tori. Kill a local deputy.”

These comments were sharply criticized by the families of two British lawmakers who have been killed in recent years. In the same statement, in which the group refused to support Hamas and Hezbollah, Knecap addressed this criticism and said: “For the families of Ames and Cox we send our sincere apologies, we were never going to hurt you.”

Brandan Cox, husband of the late Joe Cox, called the statement of the group “only half of the forgiveness”.

“It is great to say that you are sorry for this, but what they actually talked about it is to assume that it was a conspiracy, that they were directed unfairly, and for me, which then did not happen, as unfortunately, especially the real,” he told the BBC Radio CBS News.

Recent disputes that circled the trio hip-hop after the group faced intensive control over the notes they made during the Coachella performance earlier this month.

Sharon Osbourne, the wife of a former Black Saturday frontal man Ozi Osbourne and a former leading conversation in the US the Talk, accepted social media to call on the group to cancel their working visas.

Osborne criticized the “aggressive political statements” of the group and said that Knecap turned Coachella “into Hamas fan -buzz”.
