at The first season of silo special Created by Graham Yost And based on Hugh Howey's book, the Apple TV+ show finds the perfect balance between social themes and sci-fi mystery. All of this is revealed in a wonderful scene. With large sets and fun action scenes. Everything points to a second season. to continue on that path Alas, as season two draws to a close, We have to say it was a disappointment. Ten episodes filled with repetitive waste of time. Which luckily leads to a satisfying finale with a final, extremely tantalizing tease.
mostly silo Season two felt like the same two stories over and over again. In another mysterious silo, Juliet (Rebecca Ferguson) chats back and forth with Solo (Steve Zahn) about various matters. And in the main silo Those deeper down, led by Mechanical, were becoming more and more irritated. with senior executives Led by IT head Bernard (Tim Robbins), this leads to threats and eventually a rebellion.
Each week's story is a little more interesting than the others, almost like a seesaw with its ups and downs but really going nowhere. This is slowly starting to change. In the last few episodes Leading up to the finale when Mechanical hatches a cool plan. to try to take over the silo And when Juliet—happy at last—returns to her silo again. throughout the season Viewers continue to learn tidbits about the world. How many silos are there? Where are the relics? Who knows? Etc. Everything we want to know. But we hardly see the important characters. Learn or share that knowledge. which is very frustrating That's likely to change with the return of Juliet. Except the ending ended before she was reunited with the others. This is normal, we can wait.
The most exciting thing is that Juliette's long-awaited return isn't the end of the season. The season finale was a flashback that raised a lot of issues and questions in a way that made us remember why we were watching. silo At first

Two scenes in the final season take place in a much more modern Washington, D.C. It involves a young congressman named Donald (Ashley Sugerman, known for fear road movies) head to the bar to meet a reporter named Helen (Jessica Henwick from game of thrones and iron fist– Now, considering that society is still functioning. We are deciding why we went back in time. How are they related? silo–
While the two talked/flirted we learned something We learned that something important happened, a September 11th, Pearl Harbor-type event that didn't need to be named to be acknowledged. We know the military has done amazing things to help the people of New Orleans. There's a problem with Iran. For some reason So people don't use the word “date” anymore. We also learned that before attending Congress Donald was a former soldier and holds a master's degree in engineering. This appears to be an important educational focus. If you want to build 50 large silos
Donald soon realized that this wasn't the blind date he had in mind. And we got the biggest data. Helen wanted to talk to him about more serious matters, mainly whether retaliation against Iran would happen or not. And whether there is Whether or not a “radioactive weapon attack” has occurred is unknown. (This reminds us of the big reveal of Fallout Season one where we learn… Something I don't want to spoil here if you haven't seen it yet.But it seems that the link between a corrupt government and the salvation of underground society is important. Is it there? silo I'm going. I digress.)
Donald decides to resign before things escalate and gives Helen a present. Some things he picked up at a local store: a Pez dispenser or a rubber duck. Presumably the same one now living in the silo we've been following for two seasons now (oh, and the magazine Donald is holding has a photo of someone in a hazmat suit like Doc). Brown is present. back to the future nice touch)
Okay, there's a lot to understand. And this is what we know. This is a throwback to baby steps in the origins of the silo. which is the main focus of the second book in Hugh Howey's series. The majority of the book is the story of building the silo and Donald plays a key role in that. And, Because now we know Both Zukerman and Henwick will be series regulars in the third season of silo We can safely assume what next season will bring. Additionally, let's assume that this is the same Pez dispenser that now belongs to Sims' eldest son Helen (General) or her family. In that silo Why did you keep it? Perhaps it reminded her of the global change spearheaded by the man who gave it to her. As we said There's a lot to sort out.
Seeing how and why the silos were built alongside the reveal at the end of season two. (It's mostly about the “Guardians” and the omniscient voices coming from the tunnels.) It feels like a perfect fit for season three. Juliet has returned and wants to find out more about who built the silo and why. And we, the audience, are one step ahead of her as we see it happen in flashbacks.
All of which is very exciting. It's almost enough to make us forgive the hugely disappointing second season and get excited about what happened. Third and fourth and finallyseason of silo Will hold, do you agree? Let us know below.
