LG brings a lamp that serves as a small garden until CES 2025. The Home Garden Tool is designed for apartment dwellers or those who don't have access to the benefits of home-grown products in their backyard.
Throughout the day, the round lamp shines LEDs at five different intensities on the plants you want to grow, LG says. Then, at night, the light rises upward, creating cozy mood lighting in any room you place the lamp in. If you prefer something more compact and chair-height, LG also has a side table-sized version.
The taller floor lamp can hold up to 20 plants at once, LG says, and the entire setup is height adjustable so you can accommodate larger leafy greens or smaller herbs and flowers. However, the real beauty of LG's design is that you don't have to worry about watering. There is a 1.5 gallon capacity built into the base of the lamp that can dispense just the right amount of liquid for whatever you plant. Both lights are also connected to the LG ThinQ app, so you can adjust lighting and watering schedules remotely.
LG introduced its previous version of the home garden tool – LG Tiyunat CES 2022. This larger refrigerator-shaped device could also automatically grow and water plants, but was far less aesthetically pleasing than the company's new lamp. With all its features, the new LG lamp is really simple one Sonos speaker away from the ideal device for the living room. At least until tech companies find other uses for the lamps.
LG's new home gardening tool doesn't have a release date or official price, but the company is expected to share more details once CES 2025 officially kicks off.
