LG carries most of soundbar line 2024 to 2025but the company has one completely new model that it plans to introduce this year. At CES, I was introduced to the S20A, a compact speaker that will improve the sound quality of your TV without taking up too much space. The 2.0 channel unit has a power of 50W and works best with LG TVs.
When connected to one of the company's TVs, you can count on the Wow interface, which allows you to adjust your audio through the TV's user interface. There's also AI Sound Pro technology that calibrates the sound based on each scene. LG will offer a three-band equalizer on the S20A, so you can adjust the highs, mids, and lows to suit your preferences.
During a quick demo of the S20A, I was impressed by the punchy highs and clarity of the smaller unit. LG says it won't have a subwoofer, as the company uses soundbar drivers to create that low-pitched sound. Of course, this setup doesn't deliver as much bass as a standalone wireless subwoofer, but the company doesn't see that as a problem. We're looking forward to testing this theory later this year when the S20A is available for review.
There's no word on pricing or availability yet, as LG is only teasing this new soundbar here at CES. This information, as well as more detailed specifications, should appear closer to launch.
