Low travel interest in the United States causes West Jet suspended flights from YLW

Canadian air passengers have begun to lose interest in tours south of the border, and now air carriers are fully flown.

Travel expert Claire Neville explained that all four large Canadian airlines are making adjustments to flights to the United States

“Air Canada, West Jet, Porter and Flair have changed their schedule for at least the summer. They are still going to most US locations, but with low capacity, Naviller said.

The ongoing trade war between Canada and the United States is not only increasing tensions, but it is also braking on cross -border travel, especially from Canada to the United States.

“What we are seeing is the forward booking really changes,” said Neville. In fact, anything that is clearly American, the places that are generally famous this year, we are now seeing a significant lack of interest. “

“West Jet has suspended the Seattle Service for the month of April and will continue in May, at which time West Jet has also terminated the Las Vegas service that we have soon with the United States.”

Meanwhile, flights from YLW inside Canada are on the rise.

“Domestic travel has increased significantly, as well as seats, Elchitz said. The seat capacity is increasing by 10 percent over the summer this summer, so this is good news. And to date, we have seen a 15 percent increase in travel and demand.”

However, Claire Nuel has warned that if the trade dispute increases, passengers may see further changes to the flight schedules, including the possibility of small aircraft or less. She says, “This can be a change in the aircraft, choosing a small aircraft to serve the destination. This can mean less frequency.”

US President Donald Trump's political climate and influence is also affecting the travel impression. A recent Abox data survey revealed that 66 % of Canadian citizens feel that the current situation has made the United States a less attractive journey.
