Malayalam TV actor Dilip Sankar was found dead in his hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. Sankar, who was currently shooting for a TV serial, had taken a break as the shoot was temporarily halted.
The actor had last stayed two days before the shoot and planned to return once the shoot resumed and decided to stay at the hotel till then.
According to reports, Dileep's co-stars tried to contact him on phone, but there was no response. Worried, they went to the hotel to check on him but were unable to reach him before he died. His body was discovered by hotel staff after an unusual stench wafted from the room.
