Mchose GX87 Ultra Review: Mechanical keyboard but can be accessed

Sometimes I encounter a problem in which the keyboard will stop recognizing the input if I hold some certain keys (usually moving+ W when playing games) for too long (more than 20 seconds). However, this problem is not constant, and I can release and click the lock without failing. It only appears in the sidelines that I am moving in one direction or taking an action for a long time.

There are a few cases where a keypress will register many times, but it is very few and far in my test, only two or three times in more than 10 hours of testing. That said, I am worried about this issue may become worse over time.

Overall, the assembly and design of this keyboard is impressive. The outstanding feature is the rapid removal system. This includes four fast release mechanisms with bearings and springs that allow the top and bottom cases to separate without any tools. This makes this keyboard customization and modification extremely easy.

The ingredients use all feel high quality and solid. Both the upper and lower shells are made from aluminum, and the Snap release mechanisms are also metal. The case does not have any imperfections that can be seen, and everything seems to be assembled well.

The biggest disadvantage of the metal case is the fixed corner. While most plastic keyboards have feet flip to adjust the angle of the keyboard, GX87 has a six -degree angle permanently. This is a fairly standard corner (most keyboards range from five to seven degrees), so it should not create any problems for normal people when typing.

There is a little inappropriate color between the locks and shells on the unit all white. The difference is enough to bother me, but in fact this problem may be overlooked without any problems. Or it can be repaired by after -sales keycaps, or completely avoided by selecting another color combination.

Although the Flex cut in PCB improves the typing feeling, they also make it more difficult to remove and reinstall the switches, because the swap socket will bend down when trying to install the switch. This problem is reduced by disassembling the keyboard, as you can support the lower part of the PCB when installing new switches, although this makes the customization slightly takener.

Overall, with the price of $ 140, you are receiving a full -built keyboard, feeling good when typing, doing well and easy to customize. The switches feel good, the padding system is well designed and very interesting to use. It is not necessarily the best in anything, but it is well balanced.
