Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, wants President Biden to pardon him as well he forgave his son Hunter before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.
Cohen discussed his efforts to reach the Biden administration for a pardon on MSNBC's “The Weekend” Saturday morning. He said not granting him a presidential pardon would continue to leave him “vulnerable” to impeachment by Trump.
Cohen argued that Biden has an obligation to protect him and other critics of Trump, just as he protected his son Hunter.

“Yes, I filed for a presidential pardon because I believe that Joe Biden has a responsibility to me that he had to his son,” Cohen said. “And I would expect that the same pardon that he gave to his son should go to me and to anyone on that enemy list, whether they want it or not, because I assure you, I am locked in and one, where I did 51 days. , it's amazing.”

MSNBC host Symone Sanders agreed with Cohen's concerns about being on Trump's “enemies” list but declined to ask Hunter Biden for his case.
“I mean, Hunter Biden is the last son of a president left,” Sanders said.
“I'm somebody's son too,” Cohen replied.
“I agree. You're somebody's son,” Sanders said. “But I mean, just to be clear, you're not the president's son. And he forgave Hunter mostly because he's his son, I think.”
Cohen emphasized how important it is to take Trump seriously as a threat.

“You have to take Donald Trump at his word when he turns around,” Cohen said. “So far, everything he's said he's going to do, he's committed to doing. And he's been doing it one by one. Now, it might not happen. on the first day, as he said, but in the end he did. He will have four years with the whole group of people who are now going to fill the ranks of the government to help him carry out his plans.”
Cohen spent three years in prison for federal crimes of tax evasion, financial crimes, and lying to Congress while working for Trump. Since then, he has become a vocal critic of the president-elect and testified against Trump at the Alvin Bragg trial in New York earlier this year.
Cohen also said that in September he has plans from the country if Trump were re-elected.

“I am already working on a foreign passport with a completely different name. I don't know how it will work with my wife and children. I really don't want them move where I want to go,” Cohen said.

Biden came under fire from both sides of the aisle for pardoning his son Hunter in December, despite insisting he would not do so. In the weeks leading up to the end of his term, Biden also said he was still there pre-emptive consideration for some of Trump's political enemies, such as Rep. Former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney and Dr. Anthony Fauci.
