Motorola has updated its budget phones Moto G and Moto G Power. Two 5G phones have larger displays than with an overhang of 0.1″ to 6.7″ and 6.8″ respectively. Both have a high brightness mode that reaches 1,000 nits, which helps make the screens more visible in bright daylight. They also have a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Moto G 2025 and Moto G Power 2025 feature Dolby Atmos support, as well as bass enhancement technology and high-resolution audio. Moreover, each one comes with a 5000mAh battery and is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset.
The Moto G starts at $200. It is equipped with a 50 MP main camera and Gorilla Glass 3, as well as a water-repellent body with IP52 protection. The phone, which will be available in Forest Gray and Sapphire Blue colors, comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1TB via microSD) in its base configuration.
As for the latest Moto G Power, it doubles the RAM and base storage of the Moto G while it has Gorilla Glass 5 instead of 3. It should also be more durable as it has IP68/69 water resistance. The Moto G Power starts at $300 and will be available in Leaf Green and Slate Grey.
The Moto G 2025 will go on sale at select US retailers on January 30th, while the Moto G Power will hit shelves a week later on February 6th. Canadian residents will have to wait until May 2 to receive both phones, which run Android 15 box.
